Objectives

During this activity, students should be able to:

Use the Erlang programming language to solve a few challenging mathematical problems.

This activity helps the student develop the following skills, values and attitudes: ability to analyze and synthesize, capacity for identifying and solving problems, and efficient use of computer systems.

Activity Description

This is an individual activity.

Go to the Project Euler web page http://projecteuler.net/ and create a new account. Once inside your new account, select the Profile tab, and follow the link Edit Profile. In the Country field, select Mexico, and in Preferred Language choose Erlang.
Omitting any part of this step will automatically nullify this activity.
Solve correctly and submit any 10 problems from the full problem set using Erlang. You can solve more if you wish to impress your instructor .

Deliverables

Write a plain text document called euler.txt containing the following information:

Name and Student ID
Your project Euler username
Number of problems correctly solved
For every single problem solved, include:
- Problem number
- The computed result
- The Erlang program that solved the problem

Using the Online Assignment Delivery System (SETA), deliver the file euler.txt. No assignments will be accepted through e-mail or any other means.

Due date: Monday, February 23.

Evaluation

This activity will be evaluated using the following criteria:

DA	One ore more programs were plagiarized.
10-100	Depending on the amount of exercises that were solved correctly.
